By Air

The Fort McMurray Airport is a full serviced all-weather facility. Daily scheduled flights and charter carriers serving the airport include Air Canada Jazz, Air Mikisew, Corporate Express, McMurray Aviation, and West Jet Airlines . The airport also provides air space for Highland Helicopters, Canadian Helicopters, Phoenix Heli-Flight, Delta Helicopters, Wood Buffalo Helicopters and local search and rescue.

By Car

Highway 63 is the main highway servicing the community. The region is also served by Secondary Highway 881 (Lac La Biche to Anzac), and also the La Loche Winter Road (Fort McMurray to La Loche, Sask.) A winter road to Fort Chipewyan (50,000 kg limit) is open from December to March depending on weather conditions. Fort Chipewyan also has a winter road to Fort Fitzgerald and Fort Smith.
